Make Kulin your base! Kulin is a fantastic spot for travellers to stop and explore. As an RV (Recreation Vehicle) Friendly Town, Kulin proudly provides amenities and services including townsite parking, access to potable water and a free dump point. Free 72 Hour Parking is available for fully self-contained RV's in the new Discovery Zone with in the Kulin townsite. The area is located on Johnston Street, at the back of the public toilets (between the railway line and Johnston Street). Please note: Camping is only permitted at Jilakin Rock and at the Kulin Bush Races Track during Kulin Bush Races time - typically the first weekend of October every year.
BOOKINGS AND PRICES: Bookings in advance can be made through the Shire Office. Bookings require a minimum of 8 people. This is a popular facility and we strongly recommend bookings being made months in advance. The hire fee of the Kulin Retreat is $25 per person per night for community bookings and $40 per person per night for corporate bookings.

Kulin Retreat (formerly Kulin Hostel) caters for larger groups and schools. The Retreat is in walking distance of Kulin's fantastic facilities including the Freebairn Recreation Centre, Giant Slide and Aquatic Centre and new Discovery Zone. The facilities consists of dormitory style accommodation (sleeping up to 46 people). Supervisor rooms are also available along with a fully equipped kitchen, communal entertainment area with couches and pool table, flat screen television, DVD player, stereo, and laundry facilities. All linen is supplied.

Freebairn Recreation Centre Employment Opportunity
The Freebairn Recreation Centre is seeking capable and enthusiastic staff to undertake the following positions associated with running the bar and function components of the FRC. These include:
Primary duties include hospitality responsibilities, bar service, as well as cleaning and maintenance of the bar facilities in the centre’s function areas. Hours for each position are negotiable with an ongoing requirement for at least 30 hours per week across an individual role with another 30-50 hours across casual roles dependent upon facility bookings.
Applicants must possess RSA certification and ideally have experience within the hospitality industry. On the job training will be provided.
This is a multi-faceted role and we are seeking applicants who have the desire to become involved and be a key-player in the operations of the FRC. Weekend work will form a significant component of the role.
The position is available on an ongoing basis with a starting date to be negotiated.
