Technical Officer

Part-Time Position 20-30 Hours Per week

 

An opportunity exists for an organised, detail-oriented person to fill the position of Technical Officer at the Shire of Kulin. This role is supervised by the Works Manager and is responsible for the support in the management of infrastructure assets, delivery of works and maintenance programs and to ensure efficient utilisation of people and plant in a safe and effective manner.

The role is a part-time position requiring 20-30 per week. Remuneration will be based on the Local Government Industry Award 2020 based on Level 4 but will be dependent on experience.

Road Train Operator

Applications are invited for the position of a full time Road Train Operator with the Shire of Kulin.

The successful applicant will be required to hold a MC licence and completion of appropriate training as required by the Code of Practice on Fatigue Management for Commercial Vehicle Drivers.  Applicants will be encouraged to undertake on the job training to become proficient in operating other items of Council plant and machinery, while appropriate off the job training will be provided as required. You will be responsible for the day to day running of council’s machinery and equipment, while working an 85 hour 9 day fortnight.

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Govt. Industry Award 2020.

The successful applicant will be offered a total cash remuneration package of between $65,000 - $70,000 for an 84-hour fortnight spread across nine days and includes an RDO and housing allowance. There is the potential for higher earnings should the applicant be willing to complete further hours of overtime. Subject to availability at the time of the offer, subsidised housing may also be available to the successful candidate.

Kulin is located three hours south east of Perth, has a district population of 1000 and is well serviced in terms of health care and schooling (to year 10), has recreation facilities second to none and an energetic community provides the opportunity for plenty of active participation and quality living.

Relief Educators (Casual) - Kulin Child Care Centre

The Kulin Child Care Centre requires relief educators (casual position).  Relief educators may be called on at short notice and be required to work varying hours (ie. lunchtime relief, full days or half days).

 We have great numbers at the Kulin Child Care Centre at present and would anticipate regular work for those interested.
