Camp Kulin Expansion Project receives state funding

The Shire of Kulin is pleased to announce that Camp Kulin was one of 16 projects to recently receive funding from State Governments Community Chest Fund (CCF).

Member for Wagin Terry Waldron MLA said the CCF provided one-off grants to community, public and not for-profit organisations to improve and develop infrastructure and services throughout the regions.

“I’m pleased that a number of different local communities will benefit from funded projects during this latest round,” Mr Waldron said. “I congratulate the successful recipients and look forward to hearing of the implementation of these great local projects.”

The Great Southern Development Commission, Wheatbelt Development Commission and the Peel Development Commission announced the 16 latest local grants on Friday, which were all made possible by Royalties for Regions.

The Camp Kulin Expansion Project received $31,500 which will go towards developing expansion plans for future Camp Kulin investment. The goals of the Expansion Plan will ultimately be to establish short term dormitory accommodation for additional campers and support staff so that the Camp Kulin program can reach as many children in need as possible. Terry Waldron visited the Kulin Shire Administration Building on Tuesday to congratulate the Shire of Kulin.
